Lunch / Items Drop-off Policy

At Prado View, we take every measure we can to protect instructional time during the school day. It is important that we limit disruptions to your child’s class in order to protect learning for all students. As a part of this goal, we have established a policy that instructional time may not be interrupted to bring forgotten items to the classroom. If an item is forgotten at home, including lunch, you will need to check into the office. We further ask that you consider if it is essential that the item be brought to school or if it could be a learning opportunity for your child. Every effort is made to inform the teacher, and it is important to know that messages are not relayed until recess times.

If someone is bringing a lunch to school, the parent will mark the lunch with child’s first and last name and teacher’s name. The parent will take the lunch to the cafeteria and place it on the table marked by grade level. Lunches may not be left in the office. Please remind your child that it is their responsibility to check the table if they do not have lunch. If there is not a lunch on the table for your child and they do not have money on their lunch account, they may then come to the office to call their parent. Parents are not permitted to take the lunch to the child’s class.

We thank you for your understanding and support of this policy. If you have any questions, please contact the school office at 951-736-3474. lunch
