100 Mile Club

100 Mile Club

Research shows that kids who walk or run before class are able to pay better attention, have received oxygen to their brains, and are more ready to learn. Therefore, at Prado View, our 100 Mile Club track is open every day before school, starting at 7:15 a.m. Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering! We need family support for scanning student bar codes as they walk/jog their laps.

On the first day of school, a 100 Mile Club letter went home. It describes the program and accompanying incentives. It is important to note that all students at Prado View participate in walking and running opportunities that are tracked for miles. In order to receive the incentives that are earned and never given, a student must be signed up and have paid the $10.00 incentive fee. If you need another copy, please use the link below.

Our PTA purchased tracking scanners for our school. These scanners are used by parent volunteers to scan student bar-coded cards so that laps towards miles are counted. Even better, we will be adding school events outside of the school day so staff, students, and their families can work together toward 100 Mile Club goals. We are looking forward to another great year of working on our fitness goals.
